A local independent nursery in South Africa is seeking an enthusiastic Level 3 Childcare Apprentice to support the development of young children through engaging activities. The successful candidate will assist in creating a safe environment, supervise play and meals, and communicate effectively with parents and staff. GCSEs in Maths and English are desired. Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – Storybook Montessori

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Storybook Sunningdale.

Our nursery (for ages 3 months – 5 years) is located in a charming old building, full of character with an outdoor space which overlooks green fields.

We are a local independent nursery, with dedicated teachers and a place in the community. Dreamcatcher Childcare provides an environment for children to develop their natural curiosity through positive learning experiences.

A time to learn. A time to play. A time to dream!

Your roles and responsibilities will include;
  • Assist in creating a warm, safe and engaging environment for young children.
  • Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities to encourage learning and development.
  • Supervise children during play, meal and rest times, always ensuring their well-being.
  • Work alongside staff to support children’s social, emotional and physical needs.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized and hygienic setting following health and safety guidelines.
  • Observe and record children’s progress, reporting to supervisors as required.
  • Communicate effectively with children, staff and parents, fostering positive relationships.
Requirements
  • You must be able to gain a clear DBS
  • GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent are desired
Hours
  • Storybook Sunningdale are open from 08.00-18:00 Monday to Friday
  • The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours and up to 40 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed
