Descrizione del lavoro

About the Role

Our client, a leading child wellness center in the picturesque coastal town of Mossel Bay, Western Cape, is seeking a qualified and compassionate Child Psychologist to join their multidisciplinary team. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site client interaction with remote administrative duties and case management. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of behavioral, emotional, and developmental issues in children and adolescents. You will work closely with parents, educators, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive intervention plans tailored to each child's unique needs. Responsibilities include conducting psychological evaluations, providing individual and family therapy, and facilitating psychoeducational workshops. The center is dedicated to providing evidence-based, child-centered care in a supportive and collaborative environment. This position requires excellent clinical skills, a strong ethical framework, and the ability to build rapport with children from diverse backgrounds. While the clinical work and team collaborations will primarily occur at our Mossel Bay facility, the flexibility of remote work allows for efficient handling of documentation, reporting, and professional development activities, ensuring a sustainable work-life balance. We are committed to fostering a positive and growth-oriented environment for both our clients and our staff.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Interpret assessment results and communicate findings clearly to clients and relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay current with advancements in child psychology and therapeutic interventions through continuing education.

  • Proven expertise in child assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Strong knowledge of developmental psychology and psychopathology in children.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • A genuine commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
Benefits
  • Attractive annual salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
