The role

The purpose of the Child of Employee Scholarship is to invest in further education initiatives for Seriti employees' children.

The scheme supports an employee's child to obtain tertiary education in any field of study at a recognised and registered Higher Education and Training Institution (mainstream South African University or the University of Technology).

Application Requirements

• Current Grade 12 learners that have been provisionally accepted for study at a registered Higher Education Training Institution (HET)
• University students that are currently studying towards a Degree / Diploma in any discipline and any year of study at a registered HET
• Sponsorship is available for accredited courses only (courses that meet the standard of the NQF Level 6)
• Selection will be based on academic performance, previous results, academic excellence and financial need.

Eligibility & Conditions

• Applicants must be a South African Citizen.
• No bridging, foundation programs or courses will be sponsored.
• Students studying a bridging course or in a foundation year are not eligible.
• Applicants that are beneficiaries of any other sponsorship program are not eligible for this sponsorship.

Required Documents

• Certified copy of the most recent Grade 12 report / Academic Record of the previous academic year.
• Brief CV.
• Letter of provisional acceptance or proof of registration issued by an accredited mainstream University or University of Technology.
• Proof of residence.
• The parent's (employee) details (full name, surname, and company number) are required.

Value of Bursary

• Tuition fee payment (excluding previous year's failed subjects/modules and outstanding tuition fees and interest charged).
• Accommodation and meal allowance.
• Pocket money.
• Book allowance.
• Once-off allowance for a laptop.

Terms & Conditions

• Final contract is dependent on the official registration for the academic year.
• Student must pass all subjects; failed subjects are not sponsored.
• Seriti has no obligation to provide vacation work or internship opportunities.
• No work-back obligation for students upon completion of their studies.
• Students studying a bridging course or foundation year are not eligible to apply.
