An organization supporting children in foster care is seeking Child Care Staff to provide a safe and engaging environment for children aged 1-18 while their parents attend support groups. The ideal candidate is energetic, patient, and has experience with children. Responsibilities include engaging children in activities and supervising their safety. The position offers flexible hours, primarily in the evenings, making it perfect for students or young adults. Training will be provided upon hiring.
This position is a childcare staff position that works directly with the kids of Hope & Home to provide a safe, fun and interactive environment, while their parents or caregivers attend Support Group.
Children in foster care need consistency and this position is a wonderful way to help kids while learning more about the diverse and ever-changing world of foster care.
We often say that "the difference is making a child feel truly special" and this role does just that!
Varies for each group – various locations in Garfield County
This role is ideal for college students or young adults who may have another part-time or full -time job but are interested in learning more about caring for children and / or the foster care system.
Maintain required paperwork and records
Hope & Home trains and actively supports foster families all across Colorado who feel compelled to care for others.
Children who have been abused or neglected and are in foster care get a stable and nurturing family to live with until it's safe to go home again, or — when that safety isn't possible — a family to give them a "forever home" through adoption.
