Role Overview

They are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a strong technical foundation, exceptional leadership capability, and a proven ability to drive operational excellence under pressure. The ideal candidate will combine strategic architectural vision with day‑to‑day technical leadership to ensure that our technology platforms and teams perform optimally and continue to scale effectively.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technical professionals across infrastructure, networking, and security.
  • Build team capacity and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Motivate and support the team in high‑pressure environments to meet tight delivery deadlines.
Technology Strategy & Architecture
  • Design and implement both immediate and long‑term infrastructure strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Oversee system architecture, including cloud and virtual environments, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
Operational Oversight
  • Manage day‑to‑day IT operations, including network performance, firewall management, data integrity, and system uptime.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for system monitoring, maintenance, and security compliance.
Client Engagement
  • Serve as a key technical representative to clients, including executive stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences and provide strategic guidance on technology solutions.
Governance & Risk Management
  • Ensure adherence to IT governance frameworks and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Manage risk through proactive infrastructure planning and incident response readiness.
Required Skills & Experience

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer science, or related field. Industry certifications (e.g., Cisco, VMware, AWS, Microsoft, or similar) are advantageous.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Deep technical expertise in:
  • Network architecture and administration (LAN/WAN, routing, switching)
  • Firewall and cybersecurity management
  • Virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, etc.)
  • Cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments

Proven experience designing and implementing complex infrastructure solutions. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to build and scale technical teams. Excellent communication and client‑facing abilities, including executive‑level interaction. High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong problem‑solving ability.
