  • Working hours : 9 am – 5pmEastern time (U.S.)

About the Role

One of our U.S. clients is seeking a full-time Chief Operating Officer (COO), based in South Africa, to lead and optimize day-to-day operations across the company. As the right hand to the CEO, the COO will own the implementation of internal systems, drive accountability, and oversee cross-functional performance across recruiting, sales, and customer success. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who excels at bringing structure to scaling teams and freeing up executive bandwidth.

Responsibilities

Define and implement KPIs across all departments, with clear reporting frameworks

Manage and improve customer success workflows and retention processes

Own contract renewal processes and ensure timely execution

Oversee and support the recruitment team in partnership with the Director of Recruiting

Work cross-functionally to align operations with growth and client satisfaction

Lead special projects and operational initiatives that improve internal efficiency

Provide oversight and direction to marketing efforts until a full-time hire is made

Requirements

5+ years of experience in an operations leadership role, ideally in a professional services or recruiting business

Proven track record of creating scalable systems and delivering measurable outcomes

Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving accountability

Strong communication and organizational skills

Comfortable working closely with a CEO / founder in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Ability to work standard U.S. hours (Eastern Time preferred)
