Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations within the division, providing strategic guidance to ensure financial sustainability and alignment with overall business goals.
- Review, approve, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of IAS, BAS reports, and other statutory reporting requirements, ensuring timely submission to the Australian Taxation Office.
- Lead the process of importing and managing budgets, revised forecasts, and long-term financial plans into Xero, ensuring alignment with business objectives and accurate financial modelling.
- Lead the preparation, review, and finalisation of the Annual Financial Statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Oversee tax computations, tax return preparations, and ensure adherence to both local and international tax regulations, while managing and monitoring all tax-related matters for the business.
- Supervise the preparation, analysis, and review of monthly and quarterly management accounts, ensuring accurate reporting of financial performance to Executives and stakeholders.
- Prepare and present annual board meeting packs, financial reports, and related documentation, ensuring that all board decisions are supported by clear, concise financial data and analysis.
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of financial systems, ensuring systems support the company's evolving financial needs.
- Oversee the preparation and review of loan statements and schedules, ensuring accurate debt management and reporting, while maintaining a focus on liquidity and cash flow management.
- Perform in-depth financial analysis, including actual vs. forecast comparisons, variance analysis, and identifying financial trends to drive decision-making and optimise business performance.
- Provide financial insight and advice to the executive team, key stakeholders, and investors, ensuring that financial data supports strategic business decisions.
- Ensure efficient operation of the finance team.
Requirements
- CA (SA) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 4-5 years of progressively senior financial management experience.
- Experience in overseeing financial operations in a diverse portfolio, including agricultural investments and international ventures.
