Job description

As CFO / Finance Director, you will lead the finance function, overseeing accounting, financial planning, risk management, reporting, and compliance. You will collaborate with senior leadership and the board to develop strategy and protect the organisation's long-term financial stability.

Qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or internationally recognised equivalent (CPA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • BCom or equivalent degree; Masters or MBA advantageous.
Experience
  • Minimum 10 years financial management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (CFO, Finance Director, or similar).
  • Proven track record in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and reporting within medium to large organisations.
  • Strong exposure to regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and financial systems (ERP experience an advantage).
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the company's financial strategy, manage budgeting and forecasting processes, and monitor financial performance.
  • Oversee accurate, timely reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financials, board packs, and statutory filings.
  • Lead treasury, cash flow, working capital, and capital investment management.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS / GAAP, SARS, SARB, the Companies Act, B-BBEE, and all relevant regulations.
  • Manage internal controls, risk frameworks, external and internal audits, and corporate governance.
  • Provide oversight of procurement and sustainability reporting (where applicable).
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
  • Support investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, and system improvements.
