We're seeking a dynamic CEO to drive strategy, commercial excellence, and innovation in a small, agile business with big ambitions.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to shape the trajectory of a specialty company supplying animal feed additives, working closely with key players in the livestock, feed mill, veterinary, and nutrition space.

As CEO, you'll drive growth through technical expertise, superior stakeholder relationships, and hands-on commercial leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies, driving both immediate sales success and long‑term business growth.
  • Position the business ahead of feed additive market trends regionally and globally.
  • Manage P&L, margin, pricing, and investment in scalable, efficient systems (CRM, logistics, reporting).
  • Lead the technical sales team to sell value and ROI, leveraging performance data and market research.
  • Build and nurture key accounts—feed mills, integrators, nutritionists, and veterinarians.
  • Negotiate profitable deals and create channel strategies for optimum distributor and partner alignment.
  • Stay ahead of innovation, integrating new technologies and technical case studies into the product offering.
  • Develop strong supplier relationships and maintain regulatory compliance for animal feed products.
  • Engage actively in industry associations and represent the company at conferences and research groups.
  • Inspire a hands‑on, supportive culture focused on integrity, accountability, and talent development.
Requirements
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree (e.g., Animal Science, Nutrition, Business, or similar). Further technical or management training a plus.
  • Years progressive experience in feed additives sector, animal health, or agri‑related sectors.
  • Proven leadership at a regional level.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience managing P&L, pricing, and growth in a small or entrepreneurial business.
  • Technical background in animal nutrition, feed formulation, or additive product portfolios.
  • Excellent network and relationship‑building skills across suppliers, customers, and regulators.
  • Experience implementing CRM or similar digital management tools.
  • High integrity, proactive mindset, and resilience in fast‑changing markets.
Location

Based in Centurion, South Africa, with travel to customers, partners, and industry events as required.
