Job summary

Requirements :
  • REQUIREMENTS:Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus an appropriate three-year National diploma/ Degree in Diagnostic Radiography. Current Registration with Health Professions Council of South Africa as Diagnostic Radiographer (Independent Practice). A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience in Diagnostic Radiography of which at least 6 months of the period mentioned above must be of the supervisory experience. Working knowledge and experience in radiography principles, systems and procedures performed within the radiology department. Knowledge of X-ray digital system, RIS and PACS. Render 24-hour radiology services. Sound knowledge of radiation safety regulations and good understanding of radiography equipment and protocols. Knowledge of relevant public service policies acts and regulations such as PFMA, OHS policies, etc. Knowledge of HR related policies and procedures, knowledge of Employee Performance Management and Development Systems. Computer literacy446; good verbal and written communication skills, sound interpersonal skills, report writing skills, strategic planning and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to promote and uphold patients’ rights. May be required to cover after hours.
Duties :
  • Responsibility include but not limited to: Performance of X-ray examinations. Ensure that radiology equipment installed and used meet all applicable radiation safety standards.
