Duties & Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Chief Design Engineer to join our client's dynamic team based in Germiston, Gauteng Province.

As a key member of the engineering department, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of armored vehicles, contributing to the enhancement of cutting‑edge technology and ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in the design of armored vehicles, with a deep understanding of relevant engineering principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other design tools.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Prior experience in project management is a plus.
