Job description

Ballito-based Company Group is seeking to employ a Chief Accounting Officer. The successful candidate will manage our Finance Department, preparing and signing off financial records up to the trial balance, dealing with SARS queries, VAT returns, CIPC and Pastel.

Responsibilities

• Running the accounting and financial activities of the businesses.
• Analysis of the economic stability of the companies and provide financial information to other departments, enabling these departments to make budgeting and investment decisions
• Reporting on costs, productivity, margins and companies expenditures.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Preparing the monthly profit and loss, and balance sheet reports
• Tax reporting and inventory processing
• Collecting and analysing data, which is then used in the preparation of weekly and monthly estimates
• Advising on estimates for project funding
• Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts
• Responding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data
• Examining financial records to check for accuracy

• A degree and experience in the financial field.
