Job summary

The Recruitment People is seeking a qualified accounting leader to oversee the accounting function and ensure its execution and integrity. You will lead the accounting team through month-end and year-end closes, maintain the general ledger, and support tax, statutory compliance, and audit activities.

Ideal candidates hold an accounting/financial management degree with completed articles and 5 years post-articles experience or 8 years in a commercial environment, plus 3 years in a supervisory

Qualifications

• Accounting/financial management degree is required.
• Completed articles and 5 years post-articles experience or 8 years commercial experience.
• 3 years supervisory experience.
• Professional qualification is advantageous.
• Experience in multinational/manufacturing/distribution environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage execution and integrity of the accounting function.
• Lead accounting team and oversee month-end and year-end close.
• Maintain general ledger and reconciliations.
• Provide operational accounting oversight.
• Prepare tax and statutory compliance documentation.
• Support audits and internal controls.
• Assist intercompany and group accounting.
• Support cash, treasury and working capital management.
