Placements24 is seeking a pragmatic Chemical Plant Engineer to join its Soweto operations team. This hands-on role emphasizes reliability and efficiency of plant equipment and processes, with a focus on troubleshooting and implementing small upgrades.

You will monitor operations, perform routine inspections, coordinate with maintenance technicians, and maintain accurate records of activities, equipment performance and inventory while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience in a chemical plant operations or maintenance environment.
• Solid understanding of chemical unit operations, process control, and industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations relevant to chemical plants.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
