The Chemical Process Engineer position is a permanent position based in Wellington, Western Cape.
This position will form part of the Process Engineering team.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist with process technology development on bench, pilot, semi-commercial and commercial scale
- Optimise, and improve chemical, physical and biochemical processes to meet production goals and improve efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions
- Conduct process simulations and modelling to evaluate process performance and identify areas for improvement
- Troubleshoot process issues and develop effective solutions to minimise downtime and ensure optimal production
- Provide support in all phases of production, including end-product support
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs)
- Assist in the quality control process
- Provide technical support to various organisational departments and operations
- Assist in Product issues in the field and develop POKE YOKE\'s to prevent reoccurrence of the issues
- Ad Hoc or other related duties as assignes

Minimum Requirements
- BEng or BSc Eng.
- (Chemical / Process Engineering) Recent graduate or 2 years post graduate experience Experience in the agricultural input, food processing, chemical or pharmaceutical industries would be advantageous High proficiency in typical business and engineering software tools
