Job summary

A service industry leader seeks an experienced Chartered Accountant/Financial Accountant based in Sandton. This contract-based role requires ownership of the 2026 Annual Financial Statements and preparation of consolidated financials for over 15 entities. Suitable candidates will have a strong technical accounting background and experience in consolidations, taxation, and cash flow management, alongside the ability to work under pressure. The contract starts on 16 February 2026 until financials are signed off.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, update, correct, and finalise AFS in line with IFRS for SMEs
  • Prepare consolidated group financials for 15+ entities
  • Review subsidiary trial balances, prepare pro-forma journals, and consolidate TBs
  • Prepare cash flow statements and manage income and deferred tax accounting
  • Liaise closely with auditors and internal finance teams
  • Ensure FAR reconciliations and resolve inconsistencies or errors
  • Support ad hoc finance tasks as required

Skills

CA(SA) or minimum 3+ years post-article experience
Extensive experience compiling AFS using Draftworx
Strong background in consolidations and group reporting
Advanced knowledge of income and deferred taxation
Solid experience preparing cash flow statements
Ability to work under pressure with rapid turnaround times
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Advanced MS Excel skills
Experience with Odoo and Sage Business Cloud
Excellent communication skills

A service industry leader is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant / CA to take ownership of drafting, updating, and finalising the 2026 Annual Financial Statements for multiple entities, including consolidated group reporting.

This is a time-sensitive, contract-based role suited to a hands-on finance professional who performs well under pressure and brings strong technical accounting expertise to support the audit process through to final sign-off. The consultant will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of all statutory financial reporting requirements. The contract will commence 16 February 2026 - until financials are signed off.
