Being organised, diligent, and working methodically comes naturally to you. What you’ll be responsible for: Develop and implement a go‑to‑market channel sales strategy for the South African telecommunications market, aligning with national growth targets.
Identify, close, and manage high‑potential wholesale and reseller partners in both urban and underserved regions.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to deliver a seamless partner and end‑customer experience. Report on partner sales targets, KPIs, and growth initiatives. Analyse and share past and current market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to identify growth opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
Adhering to full compliance with local partner contracts, ICASA regulations, and other industry standards. Launch and oversee regional partner marketing campaigns, sales incentives, and joint events to drive awareness and lead generation.
Willingness and availability to attend industry‑relevant networking events. Availability for partner and prospect onsite visits if and where needed. Proactively making suggestions concerning the ideal setup for the partner based on their specific situation and needs.
Including product and feature developments. Actively sharing insights gained and knowledge with colleagues. Proactively assisting partners with their questions, issues, and requests. Building lasting relationships with our partner base.
A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Telecommunications, or a related field (Honours degree preferred). 5+ years’ experience in channel sales, partner management, or business development within the telecommunications or ICT sector. Proven success managing indirect sales channels, especially in the South African or broader African market. Strong understanding of telecom products and services, such as VoIP, fibre, mobile solutions, PBX, cloud communications, etc. Excellent relationship management and B2B negotiation skills. Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and a data‑driven approach to tracking performance. Ability to work independently, travel locally as needed, and lead partners toward mutually beneficial outcomes. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks in the South African telecoms environment.
