Job description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To oversee the daily operations of the kitchens to meet the company's requirement for the preparation and serving of meals to residents as per set standards and code of practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Catering/Finance/Human Resources Diploma or NQF 6 Equivalent is essential
  • 3 years experience in a catering environment is essential
  • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • SAP
  • Valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate

  • Hygiene and Sanitation Regulations
  • Equipment Maintenance Regulatory Requirements
  • Report writing & minute taking skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
  • Ensures compliance to legal health regulations and company's Health, Safety and Environmental standards and code of practices. Ensures that hygiene and sanitation standards in the kitchen and industrial change house facilities are maintained.
  • Inspects and ensures compliance with Impala's prescribed menu and specifications.
  • Adheres to dietary specifications and Mining Charter requirements.
  • Inspects and ensures that kitchen and refrigeration maintenance equipment are available and in good condition.
  • Ensures that there is regular inspection on facility structures.
  • Oversees the daily food presentation and serving control at the dining areas and monitors the point-of-sale system and network integration functionality.
  • Ensures that point of sale system is operational.
  • Ensures maintenance of stock levels and quality controls of all goods received and in hand.
  • Champions the point of sale, inventory and reporting system
