Job summary

A food services company in East London is looking for an experienced kitchen manager to oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure compliance with food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have relevant educational qualifications and at least 3 years of kitchen management experience, along with strong budget management skills. This role promotes the development of menus and management of kitchen staff in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive kitchen management experience.
  • Experience working within budget guidelines to deliver results.
  • High-volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable.
  • Hospital experience is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of special diets is compulsory.
  • Must have healthcare experience.

The Main Purpose of the Job

The successful incumbent will be responsible for assisting with all food service‑related activities, including managing daily kitchen operations, implementing the production process, managing food and labour costs, and ensuring compliance with HACCP standards.

Education and Experience Required

Relevant tertiary qualification in food and beverage services or culinary arts.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive kitchen management experience.
Experience working within budget guidelines to deliver results.
High‑volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable.
Hospital experience is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of HSE is advantageous.
Knowledge of special diets is compulsory.
Must have healthcare experience.
