Job Description
  • Ensure operational efficiency of the cash cluster or treasury area and balancing team.
  • Increase cash turnover per head for the cluster to maximise income earnings on cash controlling.
  • Ensure the increase of revenue by decreasing cash losses for the bank through managing cluster differences, check teller incidents and signing them off.
  • Manage costs/expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies by controlling overtime/under time within the cluster and personally.
  • Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions.
  • Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with stakeholders including end‑users, SMEs, project managers and senior staff members.
  • Manage existing clients and grow portfolio through making contact and generating leads.
  • Resolve all customer queries efficiently within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain expert knowledge on specific products, pricing, application procedures and timelines to drive relevant sales targets.
  • Maximise business portfolio cross‑sell opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
  • Proactively target existing local international banking customers and look for new opportunities to convert to sales.
  • Provide efficient administration service through careful planning, reporting and updating of all related information on team efficiencies and productivity.
  • Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements.
  • Ensure teller teams have sufficient workload to increase cluster productivity and assist with cluster balancing when problems arise.
  • Track and ensure processes conform to the Service Level Agreement between cash department and service providers.
  • Collate, manage and report on daily, weekly and monthly operational progress aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Manage personal and team development to increase own skills and competencies for the Team Leader function and future managerial growth opportunities.
  • Plan and manage performance, skills development, employment equity, talent and culture of team to improve innovation, achieve efficiencies and increase competencies.
  • Ensure the Protection and Security Quick Guide is read by all staff monthly.
