Responsibilities

• Manage the distribution of all cash bags and containers; count, balance, pack and reconcile customers' cash.
• Receive bags and containers and distribute them to the appropriate areas.
• Ensure all receipting is completed and that daily work is processed and cleared in the system.
• Verify information on bags is correct and adhere to all policies and procedures.
• Operate a variety of high-speed equipment and track deposits in internal systems.
• Balance transaction totals and the bulk total/funds; cross-train in multiple processes to support all Cash Processing services.
• Proactively identify customer cash differences, report to Supervisor to correct and prevent any customer impact.
• Assist in preparation of customer coin and cash orders and with other duties as required by management.
• Ensure secure, timely, and accurate processing of customer deposits; verify inbound or outbound coin and cash with banks and customers.
• Maintain attention to detail and security consciousness in all tasks.

Health And Safety

• Participate in safety planning and safety forums; report and discuss safety incidents with the relevant parties.
• Follow safety policies and procedures, and distribute safety information as required.

Minimum Qualification & Experience

• Grade 12 with mathematics or accounting.
• 1 - 3 years of relevant teller working experience preferred.
• Sound understanding of basic financial principles/information.
• Computer literacy; good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strict adherence to policies and procedures; customer-focused; ability to work in teams.
• Flexibility in working hours, including weekends; lifting and movement of containers and trolleys with substantial weight; ability to work under pressure; security-conscious; attention to detail.
