About the Role

G4S Cash Solutions (SA) is looking for a Temporary Night Shift Teller at our Witbank branch. If you are a South African citizen with a knack for numbers, a commitment to safety, and love making sure things run smoothly, we want to hear from you.

  • Effectively manage the distribution of all cash bags and containers.
  • Count, balance, pack and reconcile customer cash.
  • Receive all bags and containers, distribute them to the appropriate areas, ensure all receipting is completed, and clear all work on the system.
  • Verify that the information on the bags is correct.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Execute day‑to‑day operations, responsible for the secure, timely and accurate processing of customer deposits, and assist in the preparation of customer coin and cash orders.
  • Assist with other duties requested by management.
  • Operate a variety of high‑speed equipment and track deposits into internal systems.
  • Proactively identify customer cash differences, report them to a supervisor, and help prevent any customer impact.
  • Cross‑train in multiple processes to support all cash processing services.
  • Sort cash/coin, verify bulk money, and verify inbound or outbound coin and cash from banks and customers.
  • Accurately balance transaction totals and bulk funds.
Health and Safety
  • Participate in the design, development, review, implementation and monitoring of branch, region and national safety plans.
  • Attend safety forums, meetings and talks; report all incidents and discuss them at all levels.
  • Follow-up on activities assigned through safety meetings, committees, representatives or management.
  • Attend safety education and refresher programmes, comply with policies and procedures, and distribute safety information as required.
Minimum Qualification & Experience
  • Grade 12 with mathematics or accounting.
  • 1–3 years relevant teller working experience (preferred).
  • Sound understanding of basic financial principles.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strict adherence to policies and procedures; customer‑thinking attitude.
  • Ability to work in teams and under pressure.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and night shifts.
  • Ability to lift, move containers and trolleys with substantial weight; security‑conscious.
