Cash in Transit (CIT) Manager
Location: Cape Town, South Africa

Reports to: Branch Manager

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Cash in Transit Manager to lead our branch operations in Cape Town. Your core mission will be to effectively manage branch resources and procedures to ensure that contractual obligations to customers are achieved cost effectively and that the company’s security procedures are applied throughout the branch. You will continually review and improve branch profitability and security.

Key Responsibilities (KPAs):
  • Financial Management: Effectively manage the financial performance of CIT Services and Operations. This includes managing the relationship between results, budgets, and forecasts, controlling Gross Margin, Direct Wage, and Overheads, and managing the fleet.
  • Staff and Leadership: Effectively manage staff within the branch, including recruitment, setting performance standards, and optimizing resources to meet operational needs.
  • Customer & Contracts: Effectively manage CIT Contracts and Customers by undertaking regular customer visits, handling all queries and complaints, and continuously reviewing operations to improve customer service levels and profitability.
  • Risk & Compliance: Effectively manage the risk process and compliance within the CIT process cycle. This involves managing and monitoring loss prevention and reduction procedures, as well as being responsible for Health and Safety awareness and compliance at the branch.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Qualification: Business or General Management qualification (3 year tertiary qualification preferred), along with PSIRA Grade B and CIT certification.
  • Experience (Highly Advantageous): Multi-site management, 3 years General Management Experience with Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility, Route optimisation, Managing a unionised workforce, and Logistics/Fleet management experience.
  • Skills & Attributes: Managing Conflict, Communication (Written and Verbal), Negotiation skills, Computer literacy - MS Office, Basic financial skills, and Planning and organising.
