Qualifications

• Previous experience as Au Pair, Nanny, Tutor or similar childcare role.
• Experience with children aged 9–12.
• Strong academic ability and confidence with middle-school level schoolwork.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Strong Mathematics and general academic skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle for transporting the children.
• Clean driving record preferred.
• First Aid certification will be advantageous.
• Non-smoker.
• Contactable childcare references.

Responsibilities

• Collect children from school and safely transport them to activities/home where required.
• Assist with homework, projects, studying and school assignments.
• Provide academic support appropriate for children aged 9 and 11, including English, Mathematics and general school subjects.
• Help the children prepare for tests, assessments and school projects.
• Ensure homework and school responsibilities are completed on time.
• Take the children to extracurricular activities, sports or other scheduled activities.
• Prepare simple snacks and meals for the children.
• Supervise the children after school and during agreed working hours.
• Encourage good routines around homework, activities, meals and personal responsibilities.
• Keep the children engaged through age-appropriate activities, games, reading and educational activities.
• Assist with school-related organisation, including bags, uniforms, books and school requirements.
• Communicate with parents regarding homework, school activities, behaviour and any concerns.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised environment for the children.
• Provide appropriate supervision and ensure the children's safety at all times.
