A leading project management firm is seeking a Project Manager based in Potchefstroom, South Africa. The role involves managing end-to-end project delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and monitoring project finances. Ideal candidates will have a degree in construction management and 3-5 years of experience in large-scale construction projects in various sectors including Real Estate and Mining. This is a full-time position with a need for own transport.

Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years experience working on large-scale mission critical construction projects.
  • Experience within the Real Estate, Retail, Commercial, Energy and Mining sectors.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Job description
Overview

Will be site based for 2 years in Potchefstroom, North West, travelling to other project sites.

Responsibilities
  • Manage end to end project delivery
  • Support the Project Lead in the management of the commission
  • Collaborate with the overall cross-functional project team
  • Check contracts for services for commissions under your control are in place with all clients / sub-consultants in line with group policy
  • Help to establish the overall success criteria for the project including time cost technical and performance parameters
  • Project planning including advising the production of the detailed project plan
  • Advise upon the procurement of resources - design and construction
  • Monitor and advise upon project finances / budgets
  • Assist managing the flow of project information between the team and the client through regular meetings and written communications
  • Ensure the production of formal projects progress and other reports
  • Develop appropriate contractor interface
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in construction management or relevant discipline or equivalent qualification
  • Registered as a CPM Candidate with SACPCMP
Experience
  • 3 - 5 years experience working on large-scale mission critical construction projects
  • Experience within the Real Estate Retail Commercial Energy and Mining sector
  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure fast paced environment
  • Technical ability to manage complex multiple projects and programs as the key client interface
  • Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your client
  • Advanced Microsoft skills are essential
  • Own transport
