Job description

The CAD 3D Designer will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and templates that translate conceptual ideas into manufacturable designs. The role involves working closely with creative, production, and manufacturing teams to ensure all specifications meet design intent and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Create 3D concept models from client specifications.

Develop renders for client approval.

Design for manufacturability and visual appeal.

Refine ideas through team brainstorming sessions.

Finalize concept models and create templates / layouts for artwork placement.

Liaise with the manufacturing floor to update design changes.

Update relevant departments with approved revisions.

Place artwork onto templates using Adobe Illustrator.

Ensure proof files meet client expectations for design and colour accuracy.

Manage the loading and processing of approved proof files.

Maintain organized documentation and version control.

Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat in daily tasks.

Collaborate effectively across departments and maintain clear communication.

Work overtime when required to meet project deadlines.

Matric qualification.
