Job summary

The Skills Mine is seeking a skilled software developer to join our Johannesburg team. The role focuses on delivering robust software solutions using .NET Core/.NET Standard with Maui and Blazor, and mentoring juniors as the team scales.

Ideal candidates will have 4–7 years of experience, solid OO programming skills, and experience with WPF/WCF, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices. AWS experience is a plus; links to public code profiles are welcome.

Qualifications

• BSc Computer Science or similar tertiary qualification.
• Microsoft Certification desirable.
• 4–7 years of experience in software development.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills.
• Proficiency in .NET Core / Standard.
• Maui and Blazor experience preferred.
• Git knowledge.
• AWS experience an advantage.
• WPF and WCF proven abilities.
• Knowledge of Microservices, Docker and Kubernetes is beneficial.
• Financial Services experience advantageous.
• Public profiles (Stack Overflow, GitHub, Bitbucket) beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform code reviews appropriate to project and team members.
• Establish and maintain technical standards.
• Refine and establish development delivery processes.
• Provide expert opinion on project estimates of effort and time.
• Mentor juniors and team members or enable mentoring.
• Participate in performance management and recruitment for technical roles.
• Contribute to pre-sales design and project proposals.
• Participate in marketing activities through writing, presenting and research.
