Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Buyer for a well-established manufacturing and construction materials company. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in SAGE Evolution and Microsoft Excel. This role involves sourcing goods and maintaining supplier relationships while working near Meyerton / Vereeniging area.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years' proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools.

Responsibilities

  • Source, negotiate, and purchase goods and services required for operations.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery timelines to achieve best value.
  • Create and manage accurate purchase orders in line with company standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and forecast procurement needs to prevent shortages.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in all procurement documentation.
  • Resolve supplier or delivery issues promptly to avoid operational delays.
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing reports using Excel and SAGE Evolution.
