Join Our Team as a Sales Representative at Afripet (Pty) Ltd. Afripet is a leading pet food manufacturer based in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, seeking an exceptional Sales Representative to grow the brand and impact the pet food industry. The role is based in Johannesburg (ideally between Randburg and Germiston) and involves driving sales, building customer relationships, and supporting a rapidly growing company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Expand Afripet's market footprint by growing sales within the assigned area/segment.
  • Develop and execute client-focused sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and internal teams.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with full support of the Afripet team.
  • Represent Afripet at trade shows, seminars, and events; conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with marketing to implement promotional campaigns.
  • Maintain customer information and insights in the Amigo Extranet system for efficient management.
  • Assist with logistics and stock control when required.
What We’re Looking For
  • Location: Must be based in Johannesburg; own vehicle and valid driver’s license required.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in sales, preferably in pet food, FMCG, or related industries.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the pet industry is advantageous.
  • Skills: Proven track record of exceeding sales targets; strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; self-motivated and able to work independently; fluent in English; proficiency in MS Office.
  • Education: Matric required; marketing degree or diploma is a plus.
