Job Purpose:

To improve and streamline processes that help the organisation meet its objectives and reach goals, effectively design, and implement business solutions that resolve business problems or needs and to further partake in operational system maintenance and support to resolve issues.

Job Outputs:

  • Business Process Analysis: Process analysis, improvement, optimization, re-engineering, and modelling.

Change Management

Compile an impact analysis on existing processes that include a feasibility and risk assessments.

  • Involve appropriate stakeholders in the change process and ensure the impact is clear to all stakeholders.
  • Business Solution Identification
  • Facilitate workshops with subject matter experts to define business processes and map the processes in line with the BPM Standard Operating Procedure.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities

The candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Evaluating Contractor\'s tender submissions and writing of tender proposals
  • Compile datasheets and schedules of quantities, project quality plans, and engineering cost estimates
  • Understanding process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and equipment layouts.
  • Preparation of engineering reports and equipment sizing calculations (Compressors, separators, heat exchangers, Distillation columns, pumps, etc).
  • Exposure to process instrumentation and control systems.
  • Preparation Reviewing of plant process design with equipment sizing, utility load design calculation.
  • Work as a team along with other fellow engineers and to involved in discussions with them to understand and size related process equipment.
  • Pressure vessel and mechanical equipment Sizing
  • Pipe Stress Analysis, Beam stress analysis.
  • Reviewing of Process Flow Diagram, Piping Instrumentation Diagram.
  • To review conceptual equipment layouts, process layouts, utility layouts, and other block layouts
  • Conduct engineering simulations
  • Material Energy Balance Calculation as per the process requirement.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with process changes
  • Assist the director in plant commissioning activities.
  • Provide and communicate clear, concise, and timely reporting of project progress and accomplishments verbally and in writing

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities

Process Control

  • Monitor products processed.
  • Document and issue engineering change reports.
  • Ensure that all Processes are capable of supporting production.
  • Set- up production line standards.
  • Optimise plant layout to improve material & product flow in plant.

Production

  • Ensure correct start-up procedures are complied with and that the machinery is running at the start of the shift.
  • Ensure that all reporting on machinery downtime/production is done.
  • Monitor rejects and scrap and ensure scrap and reject targets are met.
  • Assist production controller in adhoc projects.
  • Programming duties.

Quality

  • Develop production system to ensure product quality in maintained.
  • Must ensure that the Quality requirements maintained.

Production Improvement – Valued Engineering

  • Suggest and implement productivity improvements.
  • Assess VA/VE possibilities and implement cost downs.
  • Plan and assist production area regarding Productivity improvements.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor continuous improvement and makes suggestions to maximise production output.

Safety

  • Ensure safe working conditions and the application of safe working practices.
  • Conduct continuous Risk Assessments in the workplace
  • Conduct Planned Task Observations in the workplace
  • Identify potential hazards and critical safety issues in the workplace

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Performs all work in alignment with SHE, Quality behaviors and standards also adhering to the business Code of Conduct.
  • Manage select and specific Capital and IP projects from concept through implementation, including funding approval, design, construction, contractor management and startup (maximum 20% of role)

  • Collect, monitor and control process data to ensure operational parameters are within spec and adjustments performed as needed (10%)

  • Participating in PSAs, HAZOPs and Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA) (linked to plant improvements)
  • Leads projects such that objectives and milestones are met, within agreed budget and timing, utilizing the project management and Lean Six Sigma methodology.

You Bring

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in an engineering discipline. Electrical/ Mechanical/ Chemical engineering degrees preferred

  • Previous experience in a GMP/ food environment is required.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Previous experience with flavors and fragrances industry considered advantageous
