Job summary

A leading South African bank seeks a Business Judgemental Credit Manager in Durban. You will evaluate and manage credit risks, working closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with banking regulations. Ideal candidates will have 5 years of banking experience and strong judgemental credit skills. A Tertiary BCom qualification is required, and experience with Agriculture clients is beneficial. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years banking experience, with at least 3 years managing a portfolio of bankers.
  • Strong judgemental credit experience; exposure to Agriculture clients is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, manage and approve credit risk within area of responsibility.
  • Provide recommendations and support to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external legal requirements.

Job Description

To evaluate, manage and approve credit risk within area of responsibility by providing appropriate recommendations and support to internal stakeholders through the implementation of group credit mandates, risk frameworks and methodologies.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualification: Tertiary BCom Qualification, Preferably in Economics, Accounting, Financial Management or Risk Management.
  • Preferred Qualification: BCom Honours.
Experience
  • 5 Years banking experience, with at least 3 years managing a portfolio of bankers with an individual credit mandate.
  • Have a sound knowledge of all Commercial Banking Products.
  • Strong judgemental credit experience, exposure to Agriculture clients will be beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships across segments.
