Minimum Requirements

• 5 years of steel trader experience

Key Performance Areas

• Business development
• Handling all enquiries, quoting and follow-ups
• Building long-term relationships with key customers
• Developing knowledge of core products, pricing, suppliers, and rebate structures
• Managing specific selected accounts
• Awareness of the status of each order (from A-Z) and keeping customers updated on a regular basis right through to dispatch
• Providing weekly GP reports
• Maintaining best practice with regards to stock control
• Taking full responsibility for unallocated stock associated with specific deals
• Pleasing weekly unallocated stock reports
• Quote on enquiries using SA Steel suppliers
• Arrange logistics along with support staff
