Job summary

A leading investment firm in Johannesburg seeks a driven individual for a client-facing sales role. The successful candidate will build and manage relationships with professional buyers in asset management. A Bachelor's degree and over 5 years of relevant experience in distribution are required. This role includes attending events, managing a sales pipeline, and local travel. Strong candidates will have relationships with financial decision-makers and a track record of sales success.

Qualifications

Job description

This is a client facing role a hunter role - where we seek a driven individual to explain, promote and sell the firms range of investment capabilities to large, professional buyers in the following areas :

  • DFMs
  • Multi-managers
  • Category II advice firms
  • LISPs
  • Institutional consultants and other wholesale investors
Responsibilities
  • Build and progress a focused book of professional relationships across priority DFMs, multi-managers, LISPs / platforms and institutional buyers to secure approvals / listings and funding decisions
  • Position the companys strategy and lead DD / IC-style engagements on process, risk, performance and peer context.
  • Convert and grow flows through disciplined pipeline management and accurate forecasting and timely follow-through
  • Represent the company in the market at targeted events / webinars and research forums; create meaningful follow-ups and tracked opportunities
  • Some ongoing, local travel
  • Uphold governance and conduct standards
Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant BDeg + completed RE 5 (FAIS Fit and Proper) with CFA / Post Grad an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5+ years in LISP Platform / Asset management distribution within retail and / or wholesale channels, with demonstrable fund-flow wins.
  • Candidate must have established relationships with DFMs, multi-managers, platforms / LISPs and research / IC decision-makers.
  • Proven record of converting sales opportunities into funded positions and growing market share.
