HFBAC is a UK-based boutique recruitment consultancy helping bootstrapped founders build Chemistry First teams. You’ll use personalised video prospecting (Loom / Hippo Video) to reach UK and US founders, build genuine relationships, and book 8-12 discovery calls per month for Helen (founder).

What You’ll Actually Do (Not Sales Fluff)
- Your Main Job: Fill Helen’s discovery call calendar with qualified founder leads using personalised video outreach.
- Weekly Outreach Rhythm:
- Monday: Research target founders on LinkedIn (solo founders, bootstrapped teams, growing startups)
- Tuesday-Thursday: Record personalised videos per day seconds each)
- Friday: Send personalised LinkedIn connection requests
- Your Weekly Output:
- personalised videos sent
- LinkedIn connections made
- thoughtful comments on founder posts (add value, not spam)
- 8-12 DM conversations with warm leads
- Target: 8-12 discovery calls booked month
- Plus: Workshop & Lead Magnet Promotion (25% of your time): Promote HFBAC workshops (Co-Founder Quest, Hiring Blueprints, etc.) Drive lead magnet downloads (scorecards, guides, toolkits), Manage ConvertKit email sequences, Convert workshop attendees to discovery calls
- Plus: Discovery Call Pipeline (25% of your time): Qualify leads from your outreach, Book qualified founders onto Helen’s calendar, Send pre-call questionnaires, Brief Helen before each call, Follow up post-call (thank you, next steps, nurture)
This Role Is NOT For You
- You want to cold call or use phone prospecting (we don’t do that)
- You prefer mass automation over personalised outreach
- You’re uncomfortable recording videos per week
- You need constant validation and struggle with rejection
- You want to close sales yourself (Helen closes, you fill pipeline)
- You’re not comfortable with UK / US founder language and culture
- You’re based outside South Africa (we need SA timezone and accent)

Start part-time, grow to full-time, potentially become Lead Gen Team Lead and hire / train second person. Autonomy: After 2-week training, you own your outreach strategy. Potential Commission: Month 6+ commission structure possible (5-10% of sourced revenue).
What We Need From You
- Essential: 2+ years B2B sales, BD, or lead generation experience
- Proven LinkedIn prospecting experience (you’ve generated leads via LinkedIn)
- Comfortable recording personalised videos per week (this is critical)
- Excellent written and spoken English (British accent preferred)
- Experience with video tools (Loom, Vidyard, Hippo Video, Dubb)
- CRM experience (Pipedrive, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
- Available hours / week with 2-3 hour UK overlap
- Based in South Africa with reliable internet + professional workspace
- Bonus Points: Experience selling to founders or C-level executives
- Understanding of startup / bootstrapped founder world
- ConvertKit or email marketing platform experience
- Previous UK / US B2B experience
- Hunter personality (you LOVE prospecting)
Training & Onboarding
- Week 1 (Jan): HFBAC brand deep dive, Chemistry First methodology, ICP study, practice video scripts
- Week 2 (Feb 3-7): Supervised outreach - you record videos, Helen reviews all before sending
- Week 3+ (Feb 10+): Fully independent - weekly strategy calls, you own the pipeline. Helen invests heavily in training.
Working Pattern
- Hours: hours / week (flexible scheduling)
- UK Overlap Required: 2-3 hours for weekly strategy call with Helen

- 4. Google Meet Interview with Helen.
- 5. At-Home / Practical task followed by final Google Meet with Helen. You’ll get plenty of time to ask Helen questions so you can assess if working with Helen is right for you.
