A technology company in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced professional for their ESG Business Development team. The ideal candidate should possess 1-3 years in sales and a solid background in ESG reporting. Responsibilities include executing sales plans, managing pre-sales activities, and advising clients on ESG compliance. The role also entails building relationships with customers and contributing to the evolution of sustainability reporting frameworks. ESG/sustainability is a continuously evolving landscape and sustainability reporting requirements continue to increase globally. Aside from compliance, organizations are facing greater expectations not only from regulatory bodies, but also from different stakeholders: customers, investors, employees, suppliers, lenders, etc.
We are currently expanding our ESG Business Development team to support our Convene ESG Software, which aims to support our clients in their sustainability reporting journey from standard compliance to next-level ESG governance. The team will continue to grow over the next years as we continue to expand our market and grow our clients. We are looking for candidates with relevant sustainability and ESG reporting or ratings/analysis background to join our team. The successful candidate is expected to have a strong interest in general ESG trends and topics, as well as a keen eye for details on data/disclosure quality.
