Job Purpose
Develop and initiate a sales campaign and pipeline into Africa and grow new and existing business of industrial automation products.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide research on English‑speaking countries and plan business operations in Africa.
- Develop and initiate a sales campaign and pipeline into Africa and grow new and existing business.
- Forecast, analyse, and identify the key players in the industry in Africa, meet online and in‑person to secure business.
- Provide marketing strategies to penetrate key players and improve existing business, and necessary support structures and documentation such as market research, sales projections, and forecasts.
- Facilitate business‑to‑business trust and relationship, provide clients with industry research to promote business strategies, sales revenue forecast analysis and projections, facilitate communication between the businesses to improve overall profit.
- Research products, updates, customers, and industries.
- Negotiate business terms and conditions.
- Provide systems solutions, create content and conduct presentations to promote business and sales, both online and in person.
- Facilitate product support, training, and service delivery.
- Provide and follow up on quotations, invoicing, and delivery schedules.
- Liaise daily with clients.
- Data maintenance and capturing into the CRM system.
- Achieve targets.
- Attend to and process tenders.
- Daily report and feedback to the Sales Manager.
- Meeting customers online and face to face to develop and improve business.
- Strategise, motivate, attend shows, and train customers on all relevant products.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of business development sales, or market expansion experience, preferably with a focus on the African continent.
- Min 2 years proven sales; provide evidence e.g. : targets, new business, client relationship development into Africa.
- Some knowledge of Industrial Automation IT industry – and related infrastructure solutions; Smart grid applications, such as renewable energy, substation transition, and distribution; PoE based solutions and how to implement them.
- Vertical market development experience e.g. : IT, Power, Rail, Mining, Marine, Security, Solar, Wind, and Water.
- Experienced in tenders, export, engineering processes and documentation to facilitate business and sales.
- Provide new and innovative product and service support solutions.
- The ability to research and develop B2B relationships.
- Experienced in business travels in Africa.

Skills & Requirements
- South African Citizen, I.D., and valid passport.
- Gender: Male.
- Valid Driver's License and own vehicle.
- French or Portuguese (advantageous).
- Good command of the English language.
- Business development and creation of relationships.
- Diploma or N+ Course (advantageous).
- Background in Computer / IT / Network Engineering in the industrialised sector.
- Experience in procurements utilizing software (SAP software is an advantage).
- Sound working knowledge of MS Office and report preparation.
- Service driven.
- Knowledge of developing and existing markets and the ability to secure business.
- Provide new innovative product service support solutions.
Remuneration Package
- Basic salary : R,00 - R,00 per month (negotiable base on experience and skills).
