ThinkMarkets is seeking an ambitious, tenacious, results-focused, business development manager to join our Johannesburg team. This is a client facing role and involves an in-depth understanding of the market and products that ThinkMarkets offers. This role is suited for a person who is comfortable and confident dealing with clients in senior positions and companies. The successful candidate will possess the ability to network and provide excellent sales, service and information to clients while growing the revenue and product suite of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business acquisitions from direct clients, IB's, and/or Affiliates while maintaining and nurturing these relationships.
  • Possess a keen interest in and deep understanding of current market trends, revenue generation opportunities, growth projections, financial markets, trading principles, and technology.
  • Effectively identify customer needs, provide tailored solutions through phone and email communication, and foster strong relationships with our clients.
  • Manage executive clients' queries in a professional and proactive manner and ensure prompt resolution of issues.
  • Organize business meetings, negotiate contract terms with clients, and communicate them to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the company's products or services and offer advisory support to clients.
  • Cultivate and develop relationships with clients, nurturing their long-term loyalty.
  • Drive overall business growth, focusing on expanding the product suite to include CFDs, Equities, and wealth management (portfolio management).
  • Collaborate with both local and global teams to accomplish objectives.
  • Maintain regular communication with our cross functional teams within the organization.
  • Keep accurate records of client communications, sales activities, and dealing activities.
  • Generate research to enhance the trading strategies of your own book of clients.
  • Execute telephone trades based on client instructions and assist in managing large orders on a non-discretionary basis.

Requirements

  • Business development and sales experience in the financial or stock brokering sector and dealing with B2C and B2B business
  • Proficiency in English and another SA language would be beneficial
  • Min of 5 years working experience in the financial sector
  • Min of 5 experience being in a management/senior role
  • University Degree in Finance or Similar qualification would be beneficial

Preferred

  • Trading experience
  • Market analysis experience
  • Already has a book of clients or affiliates.

**If you do not have your RE5 exam you will be required to write and pass these exams within the 4 months of joining the business**
