We empower businesses to manage online payments with ease, bridging local and international payment systems through smart technology and partnerships.We're expanding in South Africa and looking for a dynamic, high-performing Business Development Manager to help drive our commercial growth efforts in the region.The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the company's sales strategy and customer acquisition in South Africa.
This person will identify, engage, and close new business opportunities while managing key partnerships that expand our footprint in the payments and fintech ecosystem.You'll play a critical role in building the company's market presence, establishing strong client relationships, and achieving ambitious revenue goals
Develop and execute the company's sales and business development strategy in South Africa.Identify and pursue new B2B opportunities across sectors such as e-commerce, online retail, subscriptions, travel, gaming, and digital services.Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including banks, payment processors, and enterprise clients.Present, pitch, and negotiate the company's product offerings to potential customers and partners.Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, including revenue, pipeline, and client acquisition goals.Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to align sales messaging and refine market-fit strategies.Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote brand visibility.Produce detailed weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to senior management.Support onboarding and client success teams to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing customer satisfaction.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).5+ years of proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnerships — ideally in fintech, payments, or SaaS.Strong understanding of South Africa's financial and digital payments landscape.Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a startup or fast-paced environment.Established networks within fintech, banking, or technology sectors is a strong advantage.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote teams across Africa.
