Job summary

Amazon Payments in Cape Town is seeking a 12-month Business Developer Intern to join our Commercial Services team. You will identify market opportunities for a new service, build customer relationships, and relay insights to product and tech teams.

Expect a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with mentorship and cross-functional exposure. As an intern, you will contribute to developing a strong pipeline, gain market insights, and potentially explore a graduate role.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree with graduation date Q1 2027 or a recent 2026 graduate.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English.
• Available to complete a full-time 12 month internship (40h/week).

Responsibilities

• Identify market segment opportunities for the new service offering.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with potential customers.
• Relay market segment needs to internal Amazon teams including Product Management and Tech teams.
• Measure performance, articulate root-cause analysis, and link to improvement areas.
• Analyze purchasing processes and identify opportunities to improve end user experiences and reduce costs.
