What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a passionate, driven, and entrepreneurial Business Development Executive to expand Namola’s reach across diverse communities and within the Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprise (SMME) sector across South Africa. This role is ideal for a professional who understands the unique personal safety challenges faced by communities, schools, and small businesses, and who is eager to deliver meaningful solutions. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building trusted relationships, and shaping the Namola offering through customer insights and engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, target, and convert SMMEs who need affordable and effective safety solutions.
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline, focusing on high-impact business development activities.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations that communicate the value of Namola to business owners and decision-makers.
  • Develop and iterate commercial models that align with the needs of SMMEs (e.g., subscription packages, bundled services).
  • Represent Namola at networking events, expos, and in-person visits to foster strong community ties.
  • Provide customer feedback to product and ops teams to help improve the Namola SMME experience.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Skills & Experience Required
  • 3–5 years’ experience in B2B sales or field sales, ideally selling into the SMME segment.
  • Strong understanding of the South African small business landscape and the safety/security challenges they face.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Goal-driven with a proven track record of hitting or exceeding targets.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time and pipeline.
  • Bonus: Experience selling SaaS or tech-based safety/security products.
