Responsibilities
- Minimum 3 years as a Business Development Engineer in EPC / AMPP Projects environment.
- Provide Business Development support on technical engagements and assist with crafting innovative and unique client solutions.
- Promote the technical capability in the market, interact with industry leaders, and showcase the group's key capabilities at industry events.
- Market research and new product / solution identifications – conduct market research to gain solid knowledge of competitor offerings and identify new products or solutions.
- Support Business Development team on internal projects to investigate and develop new markets.
- Technology screening, concept development and participation in feasibility studies.
- Innovation & Continuous improvement targeted at the customer engagement journey.
- Perform technical reviews on identified prospects and opportunities to inform pursuit decisions.
- Set up meetings with potential clients to discuss their technical needs and solution requirements.
- Assess client needs for the companys products.
- Identify technical solutions / configurations that enable up-selling & cross-selling across the Group.
- Work with Sales Team Leadership to develop win-strategies (WS) and unique value propositions (UVP).
- Liaise with Estimating & Proposal teams to ensure improved competitiveness is achieved.
- Build positive relationships with customers' technical counterparts (New & Existing).
- Liaise with Industry Experts to determine trends or new product development in markets of interest.
- Assist Estimations team with process related queries.
- Inform clients about new product developments and provide options on how this could be integrated to suit their needs.
- Turnaround response within pre-agreed timelines with estimation lead.
- Market Research and Product Knowledge – conduct market research to gain solid knowledge of competitor offerings.
- Attend relevant trade exhibitions and conferences and alert sales team to any opportunities.
- Plan, visit and participate in industry expos to gain new market knowledge and information on how the company can penetrate the market further.
