PURPOSE

The ideal candidate will support the sales and business development functions by identifying new opportunities, assisting in proposal generation, and maintaining strong client relationships. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the Business Development Manager in sourcing and qualifying leads.
  • Assist in the preparation of quotes, proposals, and tender documentation.
  • Maintain regular contact with prospective and existing clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Update CRM systems and ensure all sales activities are properly logged.
  • Attend site visits, client meetings, and industry events as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (technical, costing, marketing) to align on client needs and deliverables.
  • Provide feedback from the market to inform strategy and product development.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • National Diploma or Degree in Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 Years of sales experience (preferably in mining, industrial equipment, or technical services).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM software is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Available to travel into Africa and other continents.
PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Prior exposure to tender processes or capital equipment sales.
