Understanding the specific markets and client’s expectations and to achieve a successful conversion of business to successfully execute the conception, pricing, promotion and distribution of client proposals

Responsibilities

Project Research

  • Research and analysis on various markets is a large element of this role.

Increase conversion rate for quotes and meet targets

  • Offering of competitive rates and relevance to market
  • Adhere to turnaround time
  • Presentation of proposals
  • Follow-up of all quotations
  • Delivering of world class service
  • Liaising between Business Development, Contracting and Sales

Supplier Negotiation

  • Understanding your specific market and the competition in order to achieve the main goal of ensuring our agents are competitive within the market
  • Maintaining good relationships with the suppliers in order to achieve these goals

Client Relationships

  • To ensure client expectations are met and the highest delivery of service is achieved with best product and pricing.
  • To continually look at creative ideas and review products offered to clients
  • To build and retain relationships with clients with effective communication
  • To ensure that all correspondence, documentation, proposals, presentations are delivered accurately and timeously
  • To follow-up with clients and leads through Market Managers
  • Flexibility to assist colleagues out of normal office hours, when and if required

Team Work

  • To build and maintain good relationships within the Sense of Africa team and the business units within our client
  • Travelling with our agents may be required

Supplier Relationships

  • Commitment to and building relationships our preferred partners
  • Ensure that the best rates are negotiated and secured
  • Understanding supplier products to ensure best product for client
  • Actively source new products and creative ideas
  • Always work according to the supplier strategy
  • Priority to be given to all our client's Product

Learning and Development

  • Develop product knowledge on an ongoing basis
  • Attend industry events/seminars/webinars and participate in supplier workshops, educational trips and trade shows
