Introduction
The purpose of this role is to support the network transformation and performance goals for the region, through the development of market analytics and the implementation of initiatives and projects to the dealer network. The role will provide both remote and 'in-field' support and face-to-face meetings with dealers. It also requires collaboration across functions i.e. sales teams, product marketing, parts, service, finance, etc.
The position reports to the Director of Distribution Management, APA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and provide market intelligence and maintain all relevant KPI data required for the dealer performance reviews on the distribution landscape supporting the local Distribution Management team, including maintenance of dealer territories and corresponding maps.
- Support strategic marketing & brand governance with local fact-based market data on the cluster.
- Provide brands with brand-specific local data related to distribution and market shares, broken down by market segments.
- Manage and maintain dealer data and access levels on the Master Data Governance (MDG).
- Support the Distribution Manager with dealer contracts and contract data for our core brands in the cluster via the Contract Management System.
- Support with the implementation of the following core initiatives/projects in the region:
- Network transformation plan.
- Mandatory Outlet Standards and Global Distribution Excellence Programme
- Dealer Signage and Visual Identity
- COMPASS, COCKPIT, Check and Tune
- Our Academy Training Programmes i.e. FSF, FASF, TSMP, Top Kick Start, etc.
- Dealer Performance Reviews and execution of smart actions to improve performance.
- Onboarding and off-boarding of new and terminated dealers respectively.
- Support with the following administrative and operational tasks:
- Maintain minutes and signing off process for the Africa Distribution Review Committee (DRC).
- Create and administer the required Dealer Agreements / Termination Letters.
- Create, as required, invoice/claims reports for financial reporting and Business Plan payment (Sales/Aftersales manage the business plan payout.
- Update the DPR and DNT dealer hierarchy data input on a quarterly basis.
- Source local Service Providers for the production and installation of dealer brand signage and Visual identity requirements.
- Co-ordinate all Africa Whole goods dealer change maintenance on our systems (MDG and Salesforce).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the rollout of the Distribution Management network transformation and performance plan by
- Propose solutions that support dealers and internal functions with dealer growth plans.
- Mapping of dealer territories and maintaining master data
- Provide key market and business analytics for each dealer and territory to support the business in making informed decisions.
- Responsible for master data management and access controls for dealers (brands and functions)
- Data collection, local reporting
- Support the Distribution Management Cluster lead and Distribution Managers with all data-related matters.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
- Support with the annual and quarterly dealer reviews, documentation, and agreed action plans.
- Roll out DM initiatives and projects in accordance with the strategic objectives and goals set annually.
Competencies
- Ability to conduct market analysis and statistical development
- Data savvy person with experience as a Data Steward, Analyst or Data Scientist (3-5 years)
- Knowledge of data collection techniques and research methods
- Excellent written and spoken communication in English
- Capable of understanding and using KPIs in highlighting important areas for the development of dealers
- Familiarity with MDM solutions and data management platforms
- Knowledge of normal Windows work environment and in general efficient use of a PC for running daily routines. High proficiency in Excel is an advantage.

Desired Experience & Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline
- Autonomous, well-structured, and diligent work standard
- Experience in the agriculture industry
- Knowledge of our dealer landscape
- A good background and experience in information management
- IT systems knowledge (MS Office)
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- The character to work successfully in a team as well as autonomously
- The ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and shows a strong ability to prioritize tasks
- A basic knowledge/understanding of the regulations and legislation of data protection
Package & Remuneration
Basic Salary - R780k pa
Plus medical 50% company contribution
Plus pension 7.5% company contribution
Plus Bonus 5%-7% of basic salary
