Job summary

A global investment advisory firm is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to work closely with Finance stakeholders. Qualifications

About our client: Our client is a global investment advisory firm focusing on long‑term value creation through investment strategies. They work with a diverse group of institutional partners and pride themselves on their collaborative, sustainable, inclusive culture and performance.

What you will be doing:

• Work closely with Finance stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyse business challenges, objectives, and requirements.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for IT development teams and collaborate to design and validate effective solutions.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and other sessions to gather requirements and build strong relationships with both internal and external parties.
• Develop user stories, process flows, and other documentation to guide project execution, ensuring alignment between intent and implementation.
• Assist in preparing business cases and cost‑benefit analyses to support data‑driven decision‑making.
• Support testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure all solutions meet IT governance and financial regulatory standards.
• Manage relationships with vendors and third‑party providers to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
• Provide training and support to end users on new systems and processes to ensure successful adoption.

What our client is looking for:

• A relevant tertiary degree would be ideal (Business, IT, Finance, etc.)
• Relevant certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI‑PBA are advantageous.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a business analysis role, specifically within finance or a related domain.
• Experience in private equity, asset management, or financial services is required, with a strong understanding of financial operations and fund structures.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar tools, and proficiency in requirements‑gathering techniques.
• Possesses strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to model and document complex business processes.
• Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of working collaboratively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• A strong understanding of enterprise financial systems, data flows, and accounting principles.

Contract Duration:

• 12 month contract with a good chance of renewal / going permanent
