Our Innovative Analysis Team is seeking Business Analysts for contract opportunities within the financial services sector, with a strong focus on Payments-related projects.
The ideal profile would include exposure to areas including Electronic payments, Card payments, Cross-border transactions, RTGS (Real-Time Gross Settlement), SWIFT etc. An understanding of the National Payment System (NPS) and its ongoing modernisation efforts is also highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities and/or output areas include, but are not limited to:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a well-rounded Business Analyst, covering data, process, systems, and business analysis.
- Proven experience on payments-related projects within the banking or financial services sector.
- Solid understanding of the National Payment System (NPS) and its role in South African financial infrastructure.
- Familiarity with various project methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and RUP.
- Ability to translate requirement documentation into user stories and integrate them effectively within Agile environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to facilitate information-gathering sessions.
- Skilled in gathering, interpreting, and documenting business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Active participation in the solution design process alongside cross-functional teams.
- Involvement in ensuring data integrity, quality, and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ability to define success criteria, document test cases, and support testing across various environments.
- Experience in analysing, deconstructing, and mapping business processes (both existing and future state).
- Align and assess data sources, flows, storage, and reporting needs.
- Support solution delivery, including assistance with implementation and training activities.
Education Qualification
- Matric
- University Qualification, Certificate or Diploma, aligned to relevant experience -Relevant Bachelors’ Degree / Diploma / recognised qualification from an accredited tertiary institution.

- Formal or practical experience in the BABOK
- Multiple process notations
- Business Writing Skills
- Presentation and Facilitation Skills
- Data Modelling based on Entity Diagram Mapping
- Repository-Based Modelling tools i.e., ARIS
- Business Change Life Cycle
- System Development Life Cycle (Waterfall, Agile, RUP)
- Quality and Risk Management
- ACORD Framework, SOA, TOGAF, ARCHIMATE
- Experience with tools such as Confluence and Jira would be advantageous
