Job Description
THE OPPORTUNITY THAT AWAITS YOU
Do you love solving real business problems, not just writing requirements? Are you the kind of Business Analyst who gets excited by pricing engines, POS integrations, and streamlining operations from store floor to back office?
Our client, a major player in the FMCG space, is on the hunt for a Business Analyst who thrives in fast-moving environments, loves collaboration, and can turn business pain points into working, tested, user-loved solutions.
If you're detail-driven, thrive in cross-functional teams, and want to be part of a project that actually moves the needle-let's talk.
What you can expect
- A high-energy, innovation-led culture where change is welcomed
- Hands-on collaboration across tech, operations, sales, and finance
- A chance to shape how key systems support promotions, pricing, inventory and more
- The ability to own your process - from idea to implementation to roll out
- Leaders who back you, challenge you, and invest in your career growth
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Get stuck into workshops, discovery sessions, and user interviews
- Document business processes that actually make sense to users and devs
- Translate business needs into clear specs, user stories, and wireframes
- Support Agile delivery: participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, testing, and demos
- Drive and support UAT: help users test what we've built and track down defects
- Look for ways to improve processes, not just document the current ones
- Help train and guide end users during rollouts of new systems or features
- Keep documentation sharp, accessible, and always audit-ready
OUR REQUIRED EXPERTISE
- Degree in Business Analysis, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering (B Eng is a nice bonus)
- 4+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, with hands-on work in custom web or mobile applications
- Retail or FMCG experience - ideally involving POS, pricing, or product promotions
- Experience in Agile teams - you're comfortable with Jira, Confluence, and standups
- Strong documentation skills: user stories, process flows, test scripts, training guides
- Advanced Excel and MS Office wizardry (especially Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- SQL experience is a bonus
- Experience with Dynamics NAV / Business Central also gets you bonus points
- A knack for turning business needs into well-scoped, buildable features
YOUR REWARD
- Hybrid working model (2 days in office, Cape Town)
- Supportive benefits: pension fund, funeral cover, and a leadership team that wants you to grow
