What you’ll do:
- Support day-to-day operations across regulatory risk-reporting applications by ensuring systems run smoothly and efficiently within both RTB and CTB environments.
- Investigate reported issues and incidents thoroughly, contributing to root-cause analysis and effective resolution while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Assist with defining comprehensive testing plans, validation steps, and formal sign-off processes to ensure robust system changes and enhancements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of processes, controls, and workarounds to facilitate transparency and knowledge sharing across teams.
- Analyse business processes, data flows, and system functionality meticulously to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business needs into clear business and functional requirements by engaging with stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Contribute to data analysis by identifying trends, patterns, and potential issues that may impact regulatory reporting outcomes.
- Support the execution of project and change initiatives by aligning activities with business priorities and coordinating with internal teams.
- Collaborate with technology teams to review SDLC practices regularly, supporting continuous improvement efforts across all relevant platforms.
- Assist with new product or regulatory changes by coordinating effectively with external vendors or partners as required.
What you bring:
- A minimum of two years' experience within the financial services or banking sector is essential for understanding industry-specific challenges.
- Prior exposure to roles such as Business Analyst or Systems Analyst is advantageous as it demonstrates familiarity with analytical frameworks.
- An undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics, Mathematical Statistics or another quantitative field provides a solid foundation for success.
- Intentions to pursue professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, PRM or CQF are considered beneficial for long-term career progression.
- Excellent written communication skills are necessary for preparing reports and presenting findings clearly to diverse audiences.
- A basic understanding of Run the Bank (RTB) operations along with financial risk-reporting concepts ensures you can hit the ground running.
- Strong analytical capability combined with attention to detail enables you to draw logical conclusions from complex data sets.
- Proficiency in analysing data flows and system processes allows you to identify evidence-based solutions efficiently.
- Effective verbal communication skills empower you to engage cross-functional stakeholders collaboratively.
- Experience or exposure to SDLC processes; familiarity with Agile methodologies is advantageous for adapting quickly within iterative environments.
