A leading consulting firm in Cape Town is seeking a Business Analyst to conduct requirements-gathering activities and drive design discussions. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with insurance systems, and a good understanding of the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position is in-person.

Responsibilities

• Conduct requirements-gathering activities with clients
• Identify people and systems impacted by functional and non-functional requirements
• Determine required IT business solutions and assist in implementing them
• Drive requirements and design discussions between client and product team
• Challenge business requirements to arrive at a solution that is required
• Procedure compliance while delivering high quality solutions to the business
• Propose, drive and implement best practices in product business analysis
• Contribute expertise to the management of existing and new products and services
• Technically competent with an appreciation for IT capability, as demonstrated by relevant experience and/or a bachelor's/master's Degree in IT or equivalent
• Experience in working in IT projects for Insurance companies

Qualifications

• Experience in driving design discussions to ensure sustainable end-to-end solutions
• Chinese language skills (advantageous)
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle
