Placements24 is seeking a responsible Bus Driver to transport passengers safely in the Vereeniging area. You will adhere to schedules, maintain the vehicle, and provide a positive experience for all riders in reliable transport services.

The role requires a valid Code 10/C1 or EC1 license, a current PDP, proven bus driving experience, and strong customer service. A good route knowledge of Vereeniging and safety focus are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Valid South African driver's license with passenger endorsements (Code 10/C1).
• Current and valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Proven bus driving experience and knowledge of Vereeniging routes.

Responsibilities

• Operate buses safely and on schedule, following traffic laws.
• Ensure passenger safety and comfort throughout the journey.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily.
• Maintain bus cleanliness inside and outside.
• Report mechanical or safety issues immediately.
• Assist passengers with boarding and alighting as needed.

You will be responsible for adhering to schedules, maintaining the vehicle, and ensuring a positive experience for all passengers, contributing to the dependable transportation services offered in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate buses safely and according to schedule, adhering to all traffic laws.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers throughout the journey.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bus interior and exterior.
• Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.
• Provide assistance to passengers as needed, including boarding and alighting.

Requirements

• Valid South African Code 10 (C1) or Code 14 (EC1) driver's license with relevant endorsements for passenger transport.
• Current and valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Proven experience as a bus driver, preferably in a similar capacity.
• Good knowledge of routes in and around Vereeniging.
• Excellent driving record and commitment to safety.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
